In Genesis 2 (KJV) it seems like God thought of making Eve after he thought of making Adam - like an afterthought.
15And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help mate for him.
Was God's original plan just to create Adam and Eve was a "patch" to a glitch in the design?
God's been winging it from day one. He wasn't even sure the light was going to be good until he looked upon it.
Reply:good questions....
keep in mind that we are created in the image of God. A highly debated statement.
Are we given insight to the thought process (if you can say that) of God before things unfolded.
We had the freedom to choose, and we were created to commune openly with God, but we were tempted to disobey Him, thus acquiring our sinful nature, disease, corruption, and death.
Reply:There is No Confusion on the Part of the Creator. He does Not Guess. He Knows.
Take for example an individual who " decides" that he/she wants to remain Single. No amount of urging on your or my part as to " why dont you get someone" is going to change their Minds. However years later they decide they want a Partner. None of us can at that time say " You were foolish" and should have started earlier. Its their call.
Not everyone thinks like you do Brain...thankfully ( said in jest*)
Reply:no, earth was created for man, adn eve was a companion for him.
ps.
you might try a newer translation of the bible, it is easier to understand
pps.
notice how he saved the best for last? hehehehehe
Reply:ORIG PLAN WAS FOR THEM TO LISTEN AND THEN EAT OF THE TREE OF LIFE AND HAVE IMMORTALITY RIGHT AWAY.... the mess started with the disobedience...
Reply:If God made glitches, he wouldn't be God. Would He?
