Inexpensive Garden Edging?

I am looking for some inexpensive Garden edging ideas to surround my entire yard perimeter. I like clean lines and the design is a kidney shape. Any ideas besides Plastic edging?

Inexpensive Garden Edging?
collected stones, used bricks?
Reply:small treated logs or square beams would give you straight lines, and would probably be cheaper than stones. I've seen these used in several yards, and like the look.
Reply:Go to home depot they have it all, and will help you design it.
Reply:search on Craigslist.org in your area ....People give away red bricks all the time...Placed half in the ground at a 45degree angle one after the other you can make all sorts of shapes. It is a nice attractive edging.. and cheap enough if you can get them for free!
Reply:The best solution is black vinyl edging. It is the cheapest option out there. You could use steel or aluminum edging but it is more expensive and a lot harder to work with. If you install the vinyl edging correctly it will look good and last a long time.
Reply:I was going to suggest landscape stones, but since you like the "clean line" then I will suggest landscape pavers that you can get at any garden center. Bricks would work as well and neither the pavers nor bricks cost much.

Good Luck
Reply:There are garden edging product available in many different materials, from rubber to steel to fiber to various latex, polyethylene, and other plastics and combinations. Most of these products are relatively inexpensive, and are flexible, which will allow you to bend and shape them to fit the design of your yard.
