How do I get a job in a field I don't have any work experience in?

I've done mostly customer service %26amp; do NOT want to do it anymore. While I understand the majority of jobs do have some level of customer service, I am looking for something that isn't predominantly CS.

I really want to do Landscape %26amp; Garden Design, however I don't have a degree.

I've posted my resume on 6 different job search sites %26amp; keep getting hits for CS, even though I put a cover letter up saying that's not what I'm looking for.

I've been out of work for almost 3 months now %26amp; am getting very frustrated. Any ideas?

Oh! I can't do Landscape Laborer due to previous physical injuries, so that makes it more difficult.

How do I get a job in a field I don't have any work experience in?
Suggestion: work in customer service at a landscaping company.....

There are these wonderful places (forgive me that I don't know the language but I am not a landscape person...I just visit them)...that specialize in helping people with money create absolutely beautiful yards. They may sell yard art, or lawn furniture...or other things that can be used in a yard or garden...it is not Home Depot! There is one in my city at least...and they are beautiful to visit because they give inspiration to others to spend on their yard.

That is the part that will work for you. You will help inspire others to make beautiful investments in their yards. Example of a website of such a place: http://www.fifthseasongardening.com/.

These places will hire you...and you can get to know the people in the industry. Then you can move on to your perfect job...just put on the perfect look for the job, hand them your resume, and tell them why you love this industry and why you will make them money. That is all it takes. YOU can do it....

Avoid job search sites, they want experience. Sell your fabulous personality....artsy people use their personality to get them there. You can do it....It doesn't require physical labor just a smooth tongue...and you have that as you have tons of experience in the CS industry.

Perfect fit. You just don't see it yet.

Good luck;-)
Reply:Everyone was a fresher one day in a job where they are master now!

So it doesn't take too much to find a job with no experience, it takes alot to mantain good will and work hard at your Job...

Good Luck!
Reply:So maybe you want to design. I am afraid you will need school for that. Good luck,
Reply:Pull a "George Costanza" and BS your way through the interview.
