Will "Isabella's Garden" cross stitch pattern look good on a black cloth? Is black cloth OK to use with it?

(Isabella's Garden is a cross stitch pattern of a girl in gown blowing bubbles. It is from the Lavender and LAce collection and designed by Leavitt-Imblum if I am not mistaken)

It's always 'ok' to use whatever color you'd like. = )

The bubbles %26amp; bright colors in the design will certainly stand out against a black or dark fabric. You might lose some of the detail from the outlining of her hair, etc with darker colors, but it should still be nice overall.

Having said that, my personal opinion would be to use a color in the blue family to represent the sky behind her - the hand-dyed fabrics that actually are blue %26amp; white would be wonderful I think. (www.silkweavers.com, www.picturethisplus.com, www.enchantedfabrics.com, www.sassysfabbys.com are all good sources for hand-dyeds. To look at some of the classic regular colors, try www.wichelt.com and www.zweigart.com)

Its a beautiful pattern - happy stitching!
Reply:I found it online. The colors are pretty vibrant so it should be fine. The black fabric might wash out some of the darker details around the girls hair, just keep that in mind.
